Analysis of the requirements of the new NERC directive (FKZ 3717 51 101 0)
The project analyzed the new NEC Directive establishing national emission reduction commitments for certain air pollutants and evaluated the German emission reporting system against the background of the requirements of the NEC directive. First, based on a comparison of the requirements of the new NEC Directive and the current German reporting system, priority areas (e.g. heavy metals and POPs) for improvements were identified. On this basis, improvement measures were identified, discussed with the Federal Environment Agency, and implemented. Furthermore, the project supported the Federal Environment Agency regarding its work for the meeting of the "Task Force on Emission Inventories and Projections" (TFEIP).
