Oekopol participates in the debate on the design of a new European chemicals regulation on various levels:


in enterprise consultations we check the possible impacts of the new chemicals policy on the production processes and elaborate strategies to cope with the challenges in discussions with industry federations we elaborate possible mechanisms for an efficient implementation of the regulation in co-operation with the German Environment Agency (UBA) we develop mechanisms and methods (including IT-tools) for a corporate and administrative data management we consult European environmental and consumer organisations in the formulation of environmental and consumer interests and positions in the current discussion we support the information flow between the EU and national actors by participating in technical meetings
