of REACH on the Chemical Industry in the New European Member States |
Possible impacts of the draft REACH regulation
along the whole supply chain are evaluated though carrying out case
studies in three New Member States (CZ, PL and EE). Particular attention
is paid to chemicals being of strategic importance for single companies
and considerably contributing to their total turnover. The results
are incor-porated into the current discussion of the REACH draft.
The study is commissioned by the IPTS Joint Research Centre of the
European Commission and is carried out in co-operation with the Fraunhofer
ISI.

for substances in dye stuffs and textile finishing chemicals for registration
under the REACH system |
The project aims to develop a sector specific
standard-exposure scenario (including calcula-tion of exposure concentrations)
for the use of dye stuffs and finishing chemicals in the textile manufacturing
sector. This standard scenario is structured in such way that it may
serve as a prototype for other sectors as well. Once the drafting
work is finished the outcome will be compared with VCI's categorisation
approach in order to identify the main differences and/or similarities.
The project is carried out in cooperation with Chemiedaten and Oekoinstitut,
6 companies manufacturing and using textile chemicals and 3 industry
